Marilyn Manson:The two by-products of that whole tragedy were, violence in entertainment, and gun control. And how perfect that that was the two things that we were going to talk about with the upcoming election. And also, then we forgot about Monica Lewinsky and we forgot about, uh, the President was shooting bombs overseas, yet I'm a bad guy because I, well I sing some rock-and-roll songs, and who's a bigger influence, the President or Marilyn Manson? I'd like to think me, but I'm going to go with the President.
Michael Moore:Do you know that on the day of the Columbine massacre, the US dropped more bombs on Kosovo than any other day?
Marilyn Manson:I do know that, and I think that's really ironic, that nobody said 'well maybe the President had an influence on this violent behavior' Because that's not the way the media wants to take it and spin it, and turn it into fear, because then you're watching television, you're watching the news, you're being pumped full of fear, there's floods, there's AIDS, there's murder, cut to commercial, buy the Acura, buy the Colgate, if you have bad breath they're not going to talk to you, if you have pimples, the girl's not going to fuck you, and it's just this campaign of fear, and consumption, and that's what I think it's all based on, the whole idea of 'keep everyone afraid, and they'll consume.'
That's my squishy ducky! You can back the fuck off!
So, me and Mike were at Publix two days ago or so going grocery shopping and I saw this loofa that has a ducky in it and I went *squee* it was adorable (and we all know I collect rubber duckies. See my collection about 3 years ago here:
). Anyway, so he let me buy the squishy ducky because I kind of fell in love with it, and he says it’s cute when I squeak. So, I brought it home and left it in the counter in the kitchen next to my ducky bank (yes, it’s like a piggy bank…only a ducky). I left it there and decided I’d move it to the shower whenever we got further along in unpacking things. This afternoon I walked downstairs and he looked at the kitty and giggled, and I looked over and saw that she was playing with a ducky. Well, initially I was fine with it and admired her being cute because she has her own ducky. Then he pointed out that it was in fact that she had my ducky…so I went and stole it back and called her a bitch and put the ducky back on the counter in the kitchen and forgot about it because I’ve been unpacking the rest of my clothes, and he’s been playing Aion, and other such things like that. Well, she just ran upstairs and into the room carrying…guess what…my squishy ducky. This means that she decided to jump onto the counter in the kitchen, pick up my ducky, carry it off the counter, across the hall, up the stairs, and into our room.
WTF??? Can’t she just leave my ducky alone??? That’s my squishy ducky! She can back the fuck off!
So, I was supposed to end the 30-day challenge last Friday or Saturday, but my plans got all crazy, so it never happened. So, I’m sure I’ll finish it as I get a chance to this week or something. :)
Last Thursday we were only originally planning on moving stuff from my apartment into the truck, and continuing the rest of the way on Friday, but we got it done so quickly on Thursday that we just finished it then. Which turned out to be a really good thing because sometime on Friday morning I got a call from my baby saying their car had broken down in the-middle-of-nowhere-next-to-alabama, Ga and that I needed to come get them and drive to South Caroline and such.
So, I gave my parent’s instructions about what they needed to finish up as far as moving stuff goes and I drove the 6.5 hours to Tallapoosa, Ga (aka: the-middle-of-nowhere-next-to-alabama, Ga). Then, pretty much immediately after that 6.5 hour drive, I got to drive another 6.5 hours to the hotel in Goose Creek, SC. As much as I enjoy driving, driving 13 hours in one day isn’t as fun as it sounds.
Then we (me, Mike, Mike’s brother, and their friend) spent Saturday and Sunday morning hanging out around the base and went to the movies and went bowling and other such things around the town. So, after falling asleep around 4am-ish on Saturday morning to wake up around 11am-ish on Saturday morning, and then falling asleep around 11pm-ish Saturday night to wake up at 5am-ish on Sunday morning to take their friend to the airport so he could fly back to California…surprisingly I wasn’t as exhausted as you might think. Then on Sunday we drove the 6.5ish hours home.
When we got home we ordered pizza and tried to relax a bit by watching some tv, but the power decided to go out…because some idiot backed into the transformer and knocked out power for our fucking building. As much as that sucked, using lightsabers to find our way around the apartment, was pretty much made of win. (Yet another reason I love him, lol.) The power finally came back on and we went to sleep around 4am.
Monday morning around 8:30ish, maintenance came to check out our A/C, which hadn’t been working properly since Thursday afternoon when we were moving. So, we got to wake up early and let them in, before falling back asleep. Then the rest of the day we just kinda chilled around the house. We ran some errands, yes, and went by the mall to see Amber, yes, but mostly we didn’t do too many things that were productive. Then Amber came over and we went swimming and watched True Blood and nommed on Taco Bell. It was really nice.
I don’t remember what time we went to sleep on Monday night/Tuesday morning, but maintenance decided to come by unannounced to check out the A/C, which freaked me the hell out because I was sleeping naked in bed, not planning on being woken up by guys screaming into the apartment. Ugh…. it was not fun. Anyway, we started unpacking more, and started to realize our bodies kind of hated us at this point (Mike’s was in more pain than mine, but still). So, it was decided to take a week off from Twitch. That’s correct…I was absent from Twitch for a week. ZOMG! I’ll be back next Tuesday though. And Amber came over and Mike made us dinner, and we watched True Blood some more, and it was pretty awesome.
Today we’re being lazy, and he’s decided to get sick. Grrr…
Oh! I got Sylvanas a collar and tag and now she’s home! *iz a happy kitteh* =^.^=
